Adoption

It is our goal to place our cats and kittens into loving and responsible homes. Garfield’s Rescue, Inc. (GRI) seeks responsible adopters who intend to include the adopted feline as a part of their family and provide the necessary medical care, exercise, training and love. We seek individuals who are committed to resolving any behavior and medical issues that may occur during the feline’s lifetime.

If you are interested in adopting one of GRI’s cats:

1. Complete our Adoption Application.

GRI will do a veterinary reference check and if a potential adopter does not have a vet reference, we may require a home visit prior to finalizing an adoption.

Kittens, and many adult cats, need feline companionship just like humans. We recommend that kittens be adopted in pairs unless you already have a compatible cat in your home. In addition, some adult cats need feline companionship, regardless of age. Again, we recommend that these cats be adopted in pairs or into a home with a compatible cat. We are happy to identify which of our cats will be happy as single cats and those that need feline companionship.

Garfield’s Rescue, Inc. prides itself on taking in not just easy-to-adopt cute kittens, but senior cats and cats with special needs. GRI has a soft spot for seniors and special needs cats and we have a long history of success in finding new homes for these felines. There are many benefits to adopting a senior kitty or one with special needs.
